Cousins
Okay, sorry for missing my week, but thanks for not caring too much! I wanted to find pictures of the cousins so I started going through all of my photos. Boy, that takes a long time. Here are most of what I found. I tried to find at least one of each kid (I'm sure there will be more of my kids). Please don't feel bad if some of your kids are pictured less, I tried to do my best. I just thought it would be fun to remember what our kids looked like then and now (that is if you can tell which ones are whose-Richy).

Race Across America
Hey family. I had a fun idea for getting my family excited about moving (both in the moving and in the exercising sense of the word). I thought it would be fun to invite the rest of you to join us, so consider this your invitation!
We are going to race across America. Since we will be going from coast to coast this July I thought our path would be fun, it is 3,024 miles!
How it could work:
- Whenever anyone in your family walks, runs, or bikes record the mileage
- Each week, send me your family's miles
- I will tally each family's mileage and pin point where they are on the map each week
- The first family to reach 3,024 miles wins! (of course, we'll all be winners)
If you're interested in joining us in our race, let me know. If you'd rather not follow our path, but a path that starts with where you live and goes someplace 3,000 miles away that's cool too. For instance, Ogden, UT to Caribou, Maine (going through Kentucky) is 3,082 miles and Richland, WA to NYC (going through UT and St. Louis) is 3,015 miles.
When we get together this summer we can even have a race across America party that I will plan (expect it to be epic if everyone participates).
I know that some of us have more people in our families, so that might seem unfair, however, my family may have people, but the younger ones are less likely to be able to contribute much. We can discuss ways of making it more fair, if people are really concerned. Mom, Dad and Dennis would be one team, if they participate.
I think it could be really fun to use as a way to learn about some places along the "road" too.
This is a long term goal (probably about 1 year I think), big goals like this are usually more doable when broken down and rewarded as smaller goals. These can be decided by individual families or we can do it as a whole. Also, if the kids are participating in sports I think we should find a way to include their running there even though it isn't really mileage.
Anyway, I'd love to hear from you and get your thoughts. I was thinking of making T-shirts for anyone who wants to race along!

The past week or two in KY
I just want to start by letting you know that I am LOVING having everyone updating the blog more frequently! I feel like we're more connected and I love it! So thanks!
We had such a great spring break and are so happy that Grandma and Grandpa came to visit! We had lots of fun in Nashville. I just posted on my blog all about our time in Nashville, so check that out if you want to see any of the details.
We stopped at the Abraham Lincoln birthplace on our way back north and had a great time. Jonas earned his Junior Ranger badge and certificate. Grandpa was so proud. We also stopped and bought stuff from some Amish folks. Some bread and jam and a nice big basket.
Of course, the reason they came was for Jonas' baptism. It was a special day. Grandma Hoss bore her testimony and it really brought the spirit and love.
We jumped for joy after the big event!
We also jump for joy every time Uncle Sean comes to visit. Its even better this time because he brought along the beautiful Aunt Heather. I haven't got the pictures on the computer yet that have Heather in them, these are actually from the last time he came. I also took a video of him reading his "really scary story" to the kids, but don't know how to get the video onto my computer right now. Hopefully I can add those soon.
We have been so blessed to have family come lately! We are excited for when we get to see EVERYONE again in July!!! Speaking of July, do y'all have plans yet for Bear Lake? We need to get family pictures scheduled for that week too if possible... Until next time...

The last of Dave's house update
I took some pictures of the finished bathroom and wanted to let you see them. I hope that what we did helps the house to sell quickly. I also put another one of the counters on.
Door caseing is done!
