Lucy helped me yesterday as I cleaned the fish we caught Thursday night. Our conversation went something like this:
Lucy:
It's sad that fish have to die so we can eat them.
Mama:
Yes, it's sad, but we eat lots of different animals. We eat cows and chickens and-
Lucy:
-But not pigs. We would NEVER eat pigs.
I didn't have the heart to tell her that, if given the choice, I would eat pigs every day!
Also, we had the pleasure of having Gavin over at our house tonight. Stomping around the house, his one-sided conversation went something like this:
"Mom"
"Mom"
"Mom"
"Mom"
"Dennis"
"Mom"

First part: That's really funny. Poor Lucy, hate to admit but, pigs are yummy.

Poor Lucy. Dad and I just bought and Pork roast, pork chops & ribs. And ham is one of my very favorite things to eat. How come the "Dennis" was thrown in to the "Mom"?

Well, I was kind of wondering the same thing. Dennis, it seems, has been the most popular uncle by far!
He DID say my name later that night-he was addressing me directly, but still, I was thrilled! It's a hard one to conquer!
