Funny Skye

I was at Richy and Kari's while they were watching Ethan, Spencer and Skye. We were playing in the backyard and Skye wanted me to push her in the swing...well, kind auntie that I am I said I would if she knew my name. I asked her what it was and she was really quiet, over and over again. Finally, taking pity on her I said, "you can ask Spencer if he knows my name." She ran over to him (he was pumping all by himself on the swingset and very proud) and asked, "Spencer, do you know Kim's name?"

Hello From Florida

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I had to ask Kimily how to post one this blog, and I must admit I did feel a little like mom in doing so. I wanted to give you a quick update, I have now been here almost two months now and I miss all of you, but especially Adrienne and the kids, I don't know how I'm going to go two more months without them. My boss' family came in this week, and his little 3 year old came into our meeting threw her arms up and yelled, "Daddy!" I think I cried for the next hour. Kind of a baby I know.
I just had my best personal week of my career so far, so that was good. It has been very hot, and with heavy rain for at least 45 minutes every day very humid as well. From the middle of my calves down to my ankles feel like cobblestone from all the bug bites, and I can't stop scratching them.
Anyhow, I look forward to seeing y'all again soon take care of my family.

Bye

Hiking with Children

Kari and I braved the weather and the trails with the kids on Friday. We had a great time! The kids had fun and it was nice to be out in nature. These are just random pictures from our time.

Fun in Afton

Here's a few pics of the fam in Afton. We had a lot of fun. Sean hiked with the kids to Intermittent Springs (a family traditon) and by himself to the star on the mountain. We all had a lot of fun. The best part was the festival we passed in Woodruff. The last picture is of Sean after his meal at the festival. I don't know what the food was exactly-something like meatballs in gravy-but man, it was good! You guys really missed out. Maybe next year...

Twilighters, Fanpires,& Twerds - Oh my!

Here I am at the Stephenie Meyer book signing. I can't say I'm a total die hard fan, but it was fun to go and experience the mayhem. Man, there were some CRAZY fanatics there! The second picture is me with the actor who is playing Carlisle (you can't really tell, but I'm wearing my "I love Carlisle" t-shirt). He's kind of a hottie. (Unlike Sean who's a MEGA hottie ;) The last picture is me with a bunch of Twerds (Twilight nerds). They were actually mild compared to some others that were there. I put that pic in to illustrate the median age group that was there. I'd say most women there were about 25 to 50. Crazy!

No pain, no gain

I just want to post a few lovely pictures, which if posted on a public site would probably put me under investigation by Child and Family Services.

Nola has no visible marks from her week of adventure (she had her eardrum punctured, but not too badly) poor thing. But Dalton and Lucy really looked nice (Dalton had an
allergic reaction to a plant he ate and Lucy took a header off the bunkbed). All in all, I think we were lucky. These pictures didn't make it onto Grandma's frame, but I thought they were blog-worthy. Notice the big blister that looks like a goober next to Dalton's nose. I kept trying to clean it off of him, poor guy.

Lucy got a nice "bonkin on her noggin", but the truly pitiful effect came a few days later when she got two black eyes. People have been giving me nasty looks for two weeks!

And on the bright side, Nola graduated from preschool today. She was so darn cute! This is Nola with her best friend, Kenia.
